Chinese Acupuncture – The insertion of thin needles into the skin at specific acupuncture points and meridians to balance a person’s internal organ systems, move qi, blood, and fluids in the body.


Japanese Acupuncture – Japanese needles tend to be a smaller gauge, while also typically being sharper than Chinese needles. The practice uses a gentler, more superficial needling with less pain on the patient. Japanese acupuncture puts a significant emphasis on the use of abdominal palpation (Hara) to make a diagnosis. 


Cosmetic Acupuncture – Acupuncture can help improve circulation and relieve certain skin conditions such as rashes, wrinkles, sagging skin, and scars by improving the underlying constitution of a person to facilitate recovery. 


Electro-Acupuncture – It uses electricity to enhance the benefits of this traditional therapeutic treatment. The benefit of electro-acupuncture is that it can relieve pain, improve blood circulation, and provide a deeper stimulating effect on muscles and nerves.


Pediatrics Specialty – Our clinicians can adjust our treatment techniques and use smaller needles, magnets and gentler treatment for younger patients, including teenagers. Acupuncture can support many children’s health issues such as anxiety, digestion, poor sleep, emotional distress, colds, migraines, muscle pain and so on. 


Integrative Oncology Specialty – Dr. Huang is a retired breast cancer surgeon who has run an integrative health clinic combining western and eastern medicine to support oncology patients. He will offer medical consultation combining both perspectives. Acupuncture is effective in supporting patients to cope with the side effects of radiation and chemotherapy such as nausea, digestive issues, pain, and headaches.


Chinese Herbal Medicine – Chinese herbs and medicinals can either be taken internally in the form of teas and pills, or applied externally in the form of lotions and ointments. Herbal prescriptions will be given as a patent formula. 


Moxibustion Therapy - A comforting and warming process that involves the burning of moxa  (Mugwort) over areas of the body. It is a heat therapy used to enhance healing for pain and inflammation, women’s health, cramps and overall energy.


Gua Sha – It is a traditional Chinese medicine practice in which a tool is used to scrape people's skin in order to produce redness or “sha.” The popular use of gua sha is primarily cosmetic, but it can be for colds, asthma, bronchitis, and break up muscle tightness due to overuse and injury. 


Kinesiology Taping – In combination with acupuncture, (KT) tape is used to support and relieve pain in muscles, joints, and/or ligaments. It reduces swelling, increases mobility and enhances recovery. KT Tape can be used to prevent or treat many common muscle and joint related injuries It provides support and pain relief before, during, and/or after an activity


Tui Na Massage – A form of Ancient Traditional Chinese medical massage and acupressure that is used in combination with acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine to treat a wide range of medical conditions. Tui means “to push” and na means “to grab or squeeze.”


Fire and Korean Cupping - A non-invasive practice in which small glass cups are placed on the skin via suction created by heat. This technique enhances circulation, relieves pain, and extracts toxins from the body, and stimulates blood flow and moves qi and feels like a deep tissue massage.
